UNDOCUSCHOLARS LLC PARTNER INSIGHTS
Partnering with UndocuScholars LLC has felt genuinely collaborative, intentional, and grounded in care for undocumented students and the professionals who serve them. What stands out most is that UndocuScholars does not approach campuses with a one-size-fits-all model. Aldo and Gerson, instead, take the time to understand each program’s unique context, capacity, and student population. This makes the partnership feel reciprocal rather than transactional.
The impact on our campus has been both immediate and lasting. UndocuScholars’ presentations resonate deeply with students because they are affirming, practical, and rooted in lived experience. Students consistently walk away feeling seen, empowered, and more confident navigating academic, professional, and personal pathways. Colleagues have also shared how valuable it is to engage with facilitators who combine technical expertise with cultural humility and an asset-based lens.
UndocuScholars has also supported the growth of our program by strengthening our advocacy efforts and helping us think more strategically about sustainability and long-term impact. Their willingness to be responsive, flexible, and invested beyond a single workshop demonstrates a true commitment to building capacity within undocu spaces. To a fellow Dream Resource Liaison, working with UndocuScholars LLC means partnering with a team that understands the realities of undocumented students, honors their resilience, and actively works to create pathways for success.

UndocuScholars LLC is a gift, a pillar of support, that leaves a positive mark in the lives of the people and students they work with. As a Dream Resource Liaison, with not a lot of guidance of how to do this role at times, I am appreciative of the empowering guidance I have received from Aldo and Gerson at UndocuScholars LLC.
I am deeply grateful for our partnership with UndocuScholars LLC. Their commitment to educating our community has empowered our faculty and staff with knowledge that informs how we engage with and support our students. Aldo and Gerson are amazing professionals, who bring compassion and clarity to a complex issue. And it is an absolute delight to work with them!
"helped staff reflect on and strengthen their pedagogy"
We truly feel like we’re on the same team, working toward the same goals for our undocumented and Dreamer students and colleagues. It doesn’t feel like a one-off collaboration—rather, it feels like a real partnership.
Our staff and students respond really well to their presentations and often share how supported and encouraged they feel afterward. I’ve also heard great feedback from colleagues who appreciate how approachable, knowledgeable, and grounded the UndocuScholars team is.
Overall, working with UndocuScholars has been a really positive experience, and it’s one I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for partners who genuinely care about immigrant students and the work we are all trying to do.

Working with UndocuScholars has helped plant the seed across campus by increasing awareness among staff, faculty, and administrators about undocumented and mixed-status students. Not only about the challenges they face, but also about concrete ways to support them and where to refer students for resources.
Their partnership has helped elevate these conversations to administration, creating space for leadership to better understand the barriers Dreamers experience. Together, we were able to host our first-ever student UndocuAlly training, which strengthened campus knowledge and helped build bridges with student workers and student leaders. As a result, more people now understand the role of the Dreamers Resource Center, what we do, and how we support students.
Because of UndocuScholars, I’ve also been able to build trust and meaningful relationships with deans and campus leaders who now feel confident reaching out to me with questions about supporting undocumented and mixed-status students. I would tell a fellow Dream Resource Liaison that working with UndocuScholars is invaluable, they are deeply committed, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping campuses create sustainable, informed, and compassionate support systems for our students.

Each presentation hosted, the audience wasn't just listening but part of the conversation which I believe makes the learning more impactful and rememberable. I would highly encourage DRLs to partner with UndocuScholars LLC for presentations for a variety of audiences (students, administrators, counselors, classified, faculty, etc).
There is something for any audience and our campus has found such value in partnering with them over the years. Each presentation offers new insights and learning. They have presented multiple times at our UndocuConference, to our management team, to faculty at Flex Day, and more! Gerson and Aldo are fantastic to work with, communicate clearly, have a plan and also invite you into building the content to meet your campus's specific needs.

Partnering with UndocuScholars LLC has been especially meaningful in the area of staff professional development. Their work supports educators in better understanding the immigrant communities they serve by providing context around students’ lived experiences, needs, and strengths. This has helped staff reflect on and strengthen their pedagogy in ways that are more culturally responsive and community-informed.
UndocuScholars helps shift professional learning from theory to practice by showing how community assets can be leveraged to better support, guide, and assist students. As a result, educators are more intentional about not only sharing opportunities with students, but ensuring students are truly able to access and take advantage of them. Most importantly, this partnership reinforces our role as educators to create and expand opportunities so our community can succeed.

Their collaborative approach empowers our campus, inspires students, and strengthens our college’s ability to advocate meaningfully for immigrant students. Beyond workshops and campus support, their ongoing partnership in state policy initiatives and advocacy collaborations demonstrates a deep commitment to advancing systemic change for immigrant families.
By engaging with UndocuScholars, we not only gain allies but also join a network of dedicated advocates working at both the campus and policy levels to ensure equity and opportunity. For any Dream Resource Liaison, the value of this partnership lies in knowing you are connected to a team that champions immigrant communities through education, advocacy, and policy impact.

"This presentation... sparked an important conversation among leadership"
UndocuScholars LLC has led UndocuAdvocate Professional Trainings on our campus for the past two years, and I am very appreciative of this partnership. With legal policies continually changing and directly impacting best practices for supporting undocumented students, it has been critical to bring in experts who have up-to-date information. The UndocuAdvocate trainings are consistently well received by faculty and staff, who frequently express their appreciation for receiving timely, practical information. It is common for instructors to stay after the trainings to discuss how they can make changes to their courses and classroom practices to become more UndocuReady.
As the Dream Resource Liaison for my campus, I highly recommend a partnership with UndocuScholars LLC. Aldo and Gerson deliver engaging presentations and handle all aspects of the training itself, which allows me to focus on other responsibilities related to managing the UndocuCenter and supporting students.

Partnering with Aldo and Gerson from UndocuScholars LLC has been one of the most impactful collaborations for our undocumented student work at Gavilan College. Their team brings a rare combination of deep expertise, strong communication skills and lived experience that immediately builds trust with everyone in the room. Every time they come to campus, there is a noticeable shift in energy; students, staf and faculty leave feeling both inspired and equipped with practical tools to better advocate for our undocumented community. They are able to connect across roles and identities, translating complex policies and systems into clear, accessible information that people can act on right away.
What stands out most is how seen and affirmed our undocumented students and Allies feel after engaging with Aldo and Gerson. Their stories, strategies and resources remind our campus that this work is not only about compliance or programs, but about real people and families whose futures we can help shape through informed, compassionate advocacy.

Our institution really appreciated the UndocuAdvocate Trainings offered by UndocuScholars LLC. The information provided was informative and invaluable. Inviting them to our campus strengthened interdepartmental collaborations and enabled new partnerships to develop. I am particularly grateful for the 1645 Summit they put together. The conference helped Dream Resource Liaisons connect and create a wider network of support.
UndocuScholars LLC provided such a wonderful Ally training for our staff/faculty. Afterward, participants expressed so much gratitude about how much more confident they felt in advocating for the needs of undocumented students. Particularly insightful, was the focus on the economic impact undocumented individuals make to our California economy. Supporting undocumented students is not only the right and moral thing to do, it’s also the economically smart thing to do.
UndocuScholars LLC helped us flip the script on the narrative that is often associated with undocumented students and helped highlight the great strengths. Thank you UndocuScholars LLC and we look forward to having you join us again.

What stood out most was how their work was grounded in history and a strong foundational understanding of what it means to be undocumented, including how these experiences began and continue to shape students today. This context made their support and presentations especially impactful.
I also appreciated how UndocuScholars emphasized the importance of our roles as Dream Resource Liaisons and the lasting impact we have on students’ futures. Their collaborative approach and affirming messaging resonated with both students and colleagues, strengthening our program and our capacity to serve undocumented students effectively.

Their support has truly made a difference for our program and our students. They are so easy to work with because they communicate clearly and bring an incredible passion for this work. Every time we collaborate, I feel motivated and excited for what we can accomplish together.
What stands out most to me is how they uplift the role of Dream Resource Liaisons and make sure our work is seen and valued. One of the most meaningful moments was when they presented to our campus leadership and managers about the work we need to do to support our undocumented students. They stressed that supporting our immigration impacted population is a campus shared responsibility. This presentation put undocumented students on their radar and sparked important conversations among leadership about how we can better serve our undocumented students.
If I were talking to another Dream Resource Liaison, I would say that partnering with UndocuScholars LLC strengthens your program and amplifies your impact. They help us create spaces where undocumented students feel seen, supported, and celebrated, and that is something I will always be grateful for. We have invited UndocuScholar LLC to present during conferences, family nights, and our graduation.

What stands out most to me is the incredible job they do in providing larger historical, political, and on-the-ground context to the experiences of undocumented students. This is extremely helpful knowledge they they provide to all those who participate in their workshops.
